From the Airport

One you collect your baggage follow the signs to the exit, it is very close and the signs are multilingual. Outside and to the left is a taxi service Called Főtaxi. Tell them the address of your hotel and they will give you a taxi number and an approximate cost.

BudapestGO App

BudapestGO is the official app for public transportation in the city. It's an easy way to buy tickets for the bus, tram or metro. The map and navigation is a bit tricky to use though so I've been using GoogleMaps to coordinate my routes and transfers. Public transportation is so useful that you don't need uber or taxi's

Taxi

The taxi's here are all the same. They have the same rates and have the same markings, yellow cars with black checker pattern and taxi sign on top. There are multiple taxi companies but only a few with an app. I'll list a few but they aren't really needed unless you need to be somewhere quickly. Also note that there may be some cars posing as taxis to scam tourists so using a service is best so you can be sure it is an official taxi.
