We're having a Wedding!

We met during the summer of 2023, little did we know that we would leave with our soulmate. Our love story happened quickly, after thirteen days of knowing each other we started dating. Next thing we know we are driving across states as he drives Shawna back to Colorado with all his stuff in the trunk. Turns out fate was in our favor, Sam's grandparents just lived 8 minutes away and he drove every day to come see her. We talked about either moving in together or getting married, depending on if he was able to join the military. Unfortunately, Sam was unable to join the Air Force, so in January we got our first apartment together. Three months later, the Navy calls him and says they'll take him. The next four months were just enjoying our now limited time together and trying to figure out what to do next. A week before Sam left he planned a nice romantic picnic, Shawna thought he was either going to break things off or propose. So she prepared for the worst and dressed for the best. The most perfect, giggling, awkward proposal happened. Seven days later Sam left for Boot Camp. After almost four months of writing, waiting, and receiving letters we finally met again. Two months later we decided to get married, unsure of how we could plan a set date for a wedding with the military always changing things. We are now able to plan for our wedding to celebrate with all of our loved ones and start this fun adventure together, starting with moving to his first duty station in Jacksonville Florida.
