We’re getting married!

Samsone and Kelly first met at a mutual friend’s Halloween party in 2018. Samsone made quite the first impression by showing up in a ketchup costume and going to bed at 8 p.m. (This is still very on-brand.) Nothing came of it at the time, and they didn’t cross paths again until 2020, when those same friends, Alex and Stefanie, got married. Kelly was a bridesmaid, Samsone was a groomsman, and this time, they hit it off. Shoutout to Alex and Stef for the assist! A few weeks later, they officially started dating on Friday, March 13. Just four days later, the world shut down. COVID hit, and they made the slightly bold decision to quarantine together. Nothing like a global lockdown to test a brand-new relationship! Their first dates included takeout, wandering through an empty downtown Denver, and howling out the window at 8 pm. (Iykyk.) Somehow, instead of driving each other crazy, they thrived. Kelly graduated college via a virtual ceremony, and Samsone completed the police academy when quarantine ended. They supported each other through the early days of their careers before buying a house in 2022, and becoming proud dog parents to Finley in 2023. In August 2024, Samsone proposed in the mountains after a summer rainstorm during what Kelly believed was just a couples photoshoot she had won on Instagram. Little did she know, it was going to be their engagement shoot. Samsone kept her on her toes by throwing in a few curveballs, like not covering his on-call shift and telling her to do her own nails instead of getting them done professionally. He pulled it off and she said yes! These days, you can usually find them at breweries with Finley, screaming for the Broncos in their matching overalls, spending time with friends and family, and of course, planning the big day. After nearly six years of laughter, takeout, and doing life side by side, they are finally getting married and are so excited to celebrate with everyone they love. Let’s do this. See you in Arizona!
