Question

Will everything be in Norwegian?

Answer

No, we will have a mixed wedding where both english and Norwegian will be spoken. Not all of our Norwegian guests can understand english, so we will do our best to have everyone feel included! Do note that most Norwegians do speak english, and you'll have no trouble navigating the country!

Question

Whats the dresscode?

Answer

Cocktail attire! Dress nice but have fun with it, wear a fun dress, suit, etc!

Question

How do we get to the venue?

Answer

There is a ferry that goes back and forth to the island. It is free for our guests, and will take you to the venue. Once the festivities are over, we will all leave the island around 10:30 pm with the last ferry. There are also taxis that can drive you from the hotel to the venue if you're staying a bit out of the city.

Question

How much does the ferry cost?

Answer

Nothing! The ferry costs are covered by the brides.

Question

How long is the ferry, will I get seasick?

Answer

It is a very short ferry, maybe 10-15 mintues! The waters around Stavanger are also calm, and the ferry is large, so there will not be any big swinging motion. Samsen also gets seasick sometimes but this trip is very doable!

Question

What should I expect the weather to be like?

Answer

Norway is hottest in August, but it will only be 70's-80's fahrenheit, and we will get a cool breeze from the ocean! We expect warm sun, clear weather, and calm seas.

Question

Is the venue wheelchair accesable?

Answer

Yes! We made sure that the venue would be accesable to anybody with disabilities. There are ramps in the buildings, elevators, and all around the garden is gentle slopes.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Cocktail hour and the ceremony will take place outside in the gardens. After the ceremony, the guests will be taken on a tour around the garden while the brides have time with the photographer. Everyone will meet inside by the docks for dinner and festivies.

Question

What will be served for dinner?

Answer

The first course will be the islands famous fish soup, followed by beef tenderloin, and finally ice cream for desert. There will also be vegetarian options for those who'd rather not eat meat- please reach out to the brides if this applies to you :) If anybody has any allergies to any of the food we will take that into account to prevent any reactions!

Question

What is the smoking policy?

Answer

We ask that you do not bring any cigarettes or vapes onto the island.
