We are getting married!

In Spring 2013, Danielle transferred from Framingham State University to UMass Lowell after figuring out that she wanted to go into engineering vice psychology. Danielle was a little nervous starting at a new school, but her best friend (and co-MOH) Julie and Arinn (bridesmaid) were on-campus and around to help her get to know people. Danielle was in entry level science and math courses as a freshman would be. She was in her Chemistry I class. It required extra time and studying and she had found a study group. This group included Harry, and Gene. Danielle always thought Gene was cute, and enjoyed studying in the library with them. One day, Gene and Danielle were studying by ourselves, and he expressed that he liked her. 9 years later and they are still together and happy, ready to get married!

Gene and Danielle booked a winter vacation to Breckenridge, CO ski mountain for the week. Up until the day, they went skiing, snowboarding, dog-sledding, and snowmobiling in the Breckenridge area! On this specific day though, Danielle had taken snowboarding lessons the day before and felt really good about her progress. Danielle and Gene decided to go up on the mountain for Danielle to go down the mountain on her own. Ends up unfortunately, about 1/4 way down the mountain, she took a turn and fell, and was in incredible pain. Gene and her called ski patrol and took her down the mountain to the mountain ER. After the long day, she was not allowed to go on the mountain anymore which broke her heart. She had thought she ruined the vacation. She had no idea what was coming... Once back at the condo which was walking distance from the resort, Danielle continued to be emotional due to her injury and thinking she had ruined the vacation. Gene consoled her, telling her "there is no way this vacation is ruined". At that moment, he proposed, and Danielle said YES!
