We're Getting Married!

Sammy and Lucas first crossed paths during their sophomore year at the University of Colorado Boulder. Fate intervened on a Tuesday night when Lucas' fraternity hosted their classic "Jersey Tuesday" party. Drawn by the Lakers jersey Lucas sported, Sammy boldly seized the opportunity to introduce herself and connect on their shared love of the team. That chance encounter led to a night of endless conversation, culminating in the exchange of phone numbers by the end of the party— both of them giddy at the thought that they’d just met somebody extremely special. Just days after meeting, Lucas charmingly asked Sammy out on their first date to the Chop House, a high-end steakhouse in the heart of Boulder. It didn’t take long for the couple to realize how exceptionally well they connected, and they were eager to continue spending more time together. In the months that followed, they shared exciting experiences, went on more dates, introduced each other to their friends, and relished in the sheer joy of each other's company. On a memorable night at Chautauqua Mountain, under the stars, Lucas asked Sammy to be his girlfriend on November 15th, 2015. As their journey unfolded, Sammy and Lucas became inseparable best friends, navigating life's many adventures together. They traveled abroad, graduated college side by side, and embarked on fun vacations and new experiences post-graduation. Their post-college chapter brought them to Los Angeles, where happiness always followed and their love continued to flourish. Moving into their first apartment together, they weathered life's highs and lows, solidifying their bond by deciding to build a life together. In the summer of 2023, on August 16th, against the picturesque backdrop of Hawaii, Lucas proposed to Sammy, and she joyfully accepted, shouting “YES!” With hearts full of excitement, they invite you to join them in one of their favorite places, Santa Barbara, to celebrate the next enchanting chapter in their love story.
