Sammy & Jordan

We met on August 29th, 2013, the first day of graduate school. We were introduced by a mutual friend. Jordan thought to himself, "ok ok...there are cute Jewish girls here" and behind her smile Sammy was thinking, "he definitely thinks I'm cute because I'm Jewish." And thus began a beautiful friendship! We sat next to each other in class, worked side-by-side at our part-time job, co-hosted Shabbat dinners for our friends, went for runs and bike rides, and endlessly laughed at Jordan's stupid jokes. Sammy tried to set Jordan up with her friends, Jordan vented to Sammy about his love interests. We never had the sense to just look at what was right in front of us...
