The home of Wall South, the first permanent replica of the National Vietnam War Memorial. Founded in 1992 the Park has since grown and prospered. It now includes a WWI Memorial, a WWII Memorial, a Korean War Memorial, and a running series of plaques to honor local warriors who have fallen in the Global War on Terror. There is also a Purple Heart Memorial and a monument to the submarine lifeguards who rescued so many Navy pilots in WWII. This park is dedicated to the memories of those who sacrificed their lives in the defense of this nation.
There will be a tour available on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. available if you will still be in town and interested. These tours have wonderful reviews. It lasts for 90 minutes and is also very informative. Parental discretion is advised. From $19.99 per person.
The Pensacola MESS Hall is a hands on science museum dedicated to the need to "mess around" with math, engineering, science, and other stuff. Visitors explore science by creating their own experiments, whether at our stationary exhibits or with our "mess kits". Mess kits are individual activities for creating tools for discovery, many with take home parts for future learning. The entire family will make discoveries together.
