Think of what you’d wear out to dinner! For men, a button-down shirt or polo shirt is perfect. For women, a casual dress or blouse/pants are both great.
Guests should wear a long or midi dress, a dark suit, or a tuxedo. If you own a tux, this is a great occasion to wear it. If not, please don't rent one — a suit is perfectly appropriate! The ceremony and reception will be outdoors. We recommend avoiding stiletto heels as you’ll be walking on grass!
Lowndes Grove is located along the Ashley River less than 3 miles from Downtown Charleston (~15 minute drive). Complimentary transportation will be provided from the following hotels to Lowndes Grove on the wedding day: Courtyard Charleston Historic District Please be downstairs to board by 4:10 PM. Shuttle departs at 4:15 PM. Francis Marion Hotel Please be downstairs to board by 4:00 PM. Shuttle departs at 4:10 PM. Hotel Bennett Please be downstairs to board by 4:10 PM. Shuttle departs at 4:15 PM. Alternatively, you can Uber/Lyft from wherever you’re staying. If you wish to drive, there is on-site parking available.
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you enjoy a night off to relax and celebrate with us! If you plan to bring your kids to Charleston, Perfectly Poppins and Simply Southern Sitters are recommended local babysitting services.
