We have absolutely no idea how, when, or where we met! Anyone who has ever lived in Dickinson, ND knows that eventually you get to know the whole town. We’ll just chalk it up to fate.
Dalmin and I had just moved to Boulder a few days before and decided to step into the mountains for the first time. We started out with a small hike in the foothills. We were exhausted (elevation is no joke when you are from North Dakota) and found a spot off the trail to take a break. I turned around and Dalmin was down on one knee. He asked, I said yes. We were both so excited (and exhausted) that we didn't even finish the hike! We took our happy a**'s down the mountain to celebrate.
It's been two years since we've moved to Boulder, CO and we couldn't be happier! Dalmin is currently in his third season as a football coach at The University of Colorado. He is working on the defensive side of the ball and continues to learn and grow as a coach everyday. In the mean time, he is working on getting his second masters degree through CU. Go Buffs! I am finishing up my second school year as a preschool teacher at an Early Childhood Development Center and can't see myself doing anything else. Seeing a child succeed and knowing you played a part in it is the best feeling in the world. When we aren't at school or on the practice field we find ourselves exploring all that Boulder has to offer. We get into the mountains and hike as much as mother nature will let us. Our dog, Dabo, seems to enjoy it as well! We feel so lucky to have the Rockies as our backyard. I find the mountain views on the other end of my camera often. We are making our way through a long list of breweries in the area and wont stop until we've tried them all! Rockies games, farmers markets, and scenic drives are all things that frequent our lives. Boulder has been so good to us and a great place to start our lives together. We cant wait for you to experience a piece of it!
