Carolyn has been living with Sammie and Katie for 2 years now and she truly believes this wedding is as much hers as it is theirs. Even though she has tried to add her own wish list to the registry, Katie & Sammie couldn't imagine this day without her. Carolyn and her cat, Toby, are obviously part of the family.

Thomas has held the title of Sammie's Best Friend since early childhood. Their families have always been close and Sammie considers Thomas' parents as his adoptive second parents. When Sammie got the idea of marriage, he had no doubt that Thomas would be right next to him as his Bestman.

Danielle and Katie have been friends since the 2nd grade. They've been through all the ups and downs in each other's lives so it's no surprise that Danielle will accompany Katie in another milestone in life, her wedding. Katie cherishes Danielle's friendship and feels they grow closer each year that passes.

Yaphet is Sammie's only brother and got the height in the family. Yaphet is an independent person and that is what Sammie respects most about him. Like most siblings, they've had their arguments, but at the end of the day they still have love for each other. It's only right that Sammie's little brother not only be there for the most important day of this life, but share the moment as a groomsman.

Kasey and Katie met in college while they were both working at the rec center. They formed a deep connection on their similar sense of humor and love for food! They continue to have annual dates to Cinzzeti's all you can eat Italian restaurant but can never seem to remember to wear stretchy pants. Bring on the CAKE!
Yonas Minelik

Yonas and Sammie have been friends since childhood. Yonas has always been a very funny and loyal person. Growing up, you could tell that Yonas was always meant for big things, when he moved to L.A., Sammie and Yonas dind't always stay in close contact but when he would come back to CO for visits, it's as if no time had passed at all. One of these reconnections happened last fall at another friend's wedding and Sammie knew he wanted Yonas to be part of his special day and by his side.
Shalane Simonis

Shalane and Katie met in high school. They both went to University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and lived together for 6 years. They have traveled the world together and had more adventures than most people have in 2 lifetimes. Even though Shalane now lives in beautiful Australia, she and Katie continue to have a special bond and a friendship that will last a lifetime.
Michael Heinsohn

Michael is Katie's brother and one of the couples' favorite people in the whole world! Katie and Michael have always shared a special bond that most siblings only get to appreciate once they become adults, if they're lucky. Growing up, they were each other's "Ride or Die" and that bond continues to be strong today. Michael has supported the couple from the very beginning and will always be important in every aspect of the couples lives.

Kisanet is Sammie's beautiful sister. She's the baby of the family and was always the most creative/"dreamer" of the family. She has a passionate spirit and when news of Katie and Sammie's engagement came, Kisanet was just as passionate about being a bridesmaid. Katie is excited to continue to get closer to her new sister-in-law and can't wait for her to be part of her Bride Tribe.
