Wedding Party

Kirsten Meehan

Knight Grand Cross

Kirsten and Cooper's friendship was foretold by an ancient prophecy. It was said on the walls of SUNY Potsdam that two incredibly talented people would meet and shift the world. This did not happen, because neither of their hands work properly. Kirsten quickly became Cooper's best friend as their collective college antics reached new heights. After graduating from Potsdam, Kirsten went on to get two master degrees at Arcadia University. Kirsten has always been there for Cooper and helped orchestrate the surprise proposal at the Renaissance fair. You can often find the two arguing about whether moose are real or not. "They are not." -Cooper 2020 "YES, THEY ARE. " -Kirsten 2020

Keegan Pardo

Knight

Keegan came into Cooper's life in the year 2000, and things were rocky at the start (Cooper was upset they were not the baby anymore). Keegan and Cooper found common ground in combat sports. Keegan is a practitioner of Krav Maga and Taekwondo; needless to say, any highwaymen would be wise to think twice about crashing the wedding. Keegan studied at SUNY Cortland and then went on to get his master's in Adapted P.E. Keegan has always been a caring and understanding brother to Cooper, and Cooper is ecstatic to have him standing with them on their big day. "WHEAT YUCK" -Keegan 2022

Matthew Schlicht

Knight

Matt and Cooper first met at SUNY Potsdam while Matt was attending Crane School of Music. They then popped a fuse at Cooper's home. The two would not be super close until about 2020, when Cooper started Twitch streaming. Matt and Cooper would spend countless hours playing games like Valorant, C.S Go, and Halo. Matt did all this while getting their masters at Syracuse University. Whenever Cooper was streaming, Matt was right there, ready to slam tables and crack jokes. They would go on to spend many nights drinking and having life-changing conversations. Matt is the kind of friend you look up to and try to be like. "BOOOOOOOMS DAY" - Matt 2021

Em Hanna

Knight

Em and Cooper met at SUNY Potsdam while Em was attending the Crane School of Music. Em joined the friend group through Dungeons & Dragons. Em was soft-spoken at first, but quickly opened up and became a powerhouse of a player. Cooper and Em would spend many nights in college playing Dungeons &Dragons and talking about obscure Fae lore. There might also be an incident or two of Cooper throwing a controller at a wall while playing Dark Souls that Em witnessed. The two would lose contact for a few years, only to rekindle the fire of their friendship the only way they knew how: by rolling dice. Em and Cooper still play D &D to this day, and Em has been there for Cooper through some hard times. They are one of the most reliable people Cooper knows. "Listen, I'm a Vermonter, we put maple syrup on everything."- Em, the dawn of Time.

William (Bill) Houghtalen

Knight

William to some; Bill to most; Dad to Cooper. Bill was Cooper's Scout Master in Scouting America (formerly known as the Boy Scouts of America) and was a crucial influence on who they are today. Bill shared his knowledge of the outdoors and his family with a young child who needed it. Cooper has him to thank for some of the best trips and memories of their life, and will be forever grateful to him for that. Bill pushed Cooper to reach the rank of Eagle Scout, opening doors for them that would have been otherwise closed. They would like to thank him for showing them what a Dad should be. "Want to buy a duck?" Bill, for as long as Cooper can remember

Deidre Stickley

Knight

Deidre met Cooper when they were a freshman in high school, and she quickly became a safe place for Cooper to go when they were overstimulated or having a bad day. She was also one of the only people who could read Cooper's handwriting. She would talk Cooper down when they were upset and talk sense into them when they were going to do something stupid. Deidre made high school bearable for the weird kid who would scream "ATP!" during a biology lesson on cells. Cooper would graduate and later become a part of her family, having dinner and spending time with her kids and husband. "I swear, you write in a different language sometimes, dude."-Deidre, 2014—present

Nacelle Stern

Maid of Honor

Nacelle is Sammie's cousin and oldest friend. Sammie's fondest memories with Nacelle are from summers playing hide and seek with walkie talkies, and playing Mario Kart on DS from opposite ends of their grandparents house. They share a love of music, nerdy stuff, and shiny rocks. Nacelle has always been one of Sammie's biggest supporters (other than the the time she nicknamed her "weed hair" when they were kids), and Sammie has always known that Nacelle would be the maid of honor at her wedding.

Sarah Dejoy

Bridesmaid

Sammie and Sarah first met in 9th grade French class, where they bonded over their love of the CW's Supernatural and their weird French teacher who quacked at Sarah for having her phone out in class. Through years of sleepovers, performing in shows together, and giving each other bizarre nicknames, Sammie and Sarah (or Spicy Mango and Burrito Ostrich Grandma) have remained close friends and fellow weirdos. Sammie is thrilled to have such a kind and funny person be one of her bridesmaids and couldn't imagine the day without her. "Tu mange le escargot avec les jambes? Avec le sel? Oui" - Sarah and Sammie, 2015

Jazzy Armstrong

Bridesmaid

Jazzy and Sammie met through a mutual friend in 8th grade, and then spent the next decade doing theater together, going on late night adventures to Walmart and Price Chopper, and watching Doctor Who. Even though Sammie supposedly pronounces "crayon" wrong (this is still up for debate), Jazzy has always been one of her best friends and adventure buddies. Sammie would like to thank Jazzy for always opening her kitchen and/or basement for their shenanigans and for letting her pet Dolly. "It's pronounced CRAY-ON"- Jazzy, 2016-present

Hazel Armstrong

Bridesmaid

Hazel started out as Jazzy's cool older sister who did theater with them, but she quickly became one of Sammie's (and later Cooper's) best friends. Sammie and Hazel’s adventures continued into college at SUNY Potsdam, where they took Environmental Ethics together, watched many shows and movies, and made lots of Walmart runs. Hazel made Sammie's first year of college feel a little bit like home, and for that she will always be grateful. Sammie would also like to thank Hazel for the many rides to and from Potsdam before she had a car up there. "Would you be down for taco bell or some similarly bad decision?"- Hazel, 2019

Madeline Brogan

Bridesmaid

Madeline was one of Sammie's first new friends at SUNY Potsdam, as they were the only 2 freshman in 18 & Up Improv and were terrified of the upperclassmen. It turned out that Sammie and Madeline grew up only a few towns away from each other, and had some mutual friends through theater. They spent countless hours hanging out and coming up with hilarious bits, eventually developing the nicknames "Bet" and "Cronch" (you have to guess who is who). Sammie would also like to thank Madeline for being an amazing friend and workout buddy. "BINGLE BELLS"- Madeline, 2019

Maddie Cavallino

Bridesmaid

Maddie is one of Sammie's oldest friends, as they met at theater camp in the summer of 2012. Sammie and Maddie bonded over their shared love of Star Trek and Greek mythology. They both went on to become counselors at that same camp, and taught objectively the BEST 8-and-9-year-old acting class that Summer on Stage ever saw. Maddie and Sammie have the kind of relationship that can just be picked up wherever they left off, mostly due to only seeing each other for 3 weeks out of any given year. Sammie is pleased that she and Maddie now see each other at LEAST twice a year for lunch to catch up. "Ya like Nick Cage?"- Maddie, 2016
