FAQs

Things to know as we approach the big day.
Question

Are the ceremony and reception in the same location?

Answer

Yes, both are being held at Emmerich Tree Farm: 101 Sleepy Valley Rd. Warwick, NY 10990.

Question

How are you addressing health and safety concerns around COVID-19?

Answer

We can’t wait to have all of our favorite people together in one place! That being said, we still have to follow the New York State guidelines for large gatherings. With the current guidelines in mind, we do encourage you to refrain from handshakes, hugs or other physical contact with any guests outside of your household. You will be required to wear a mask at times and we created our seating plan in line with the current COVID-19 restrictions to allow adequate space between guests during dinner. Some of these guidelines may change as we approach the wedding date and we will continue to update this section and reach out directly as necessary.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately, as much as we’d love to invite all of our friends’ children, we can only accommodate a few close family children. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the evening off!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 4:30pm as the ceremony will begin promptly at 5pm.

Question

How do I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

We have arranged for a shuttle service from the Courtyard Marriott to and from the wedding venue. There is also parking available on site.

Question

Given this is a mostly outdoor wedding at a rustic venue, what should I wear?

Answer

Weather conditions fluctuate a bit in upstate New York in September, but temperatures average a low of 50 and high of 75. We suggest bringing an umbrella as well, just in case! The majority of our venue is soft ground and the ceremony site is a short walk from the parking lot/shuttle drop-off area. Please keep this in mind when thinking about shoes.

Question

What is the phone policy?

Answer

We ask that during the ceremony, everyone keep their phones out of sight and on silent. We have hired a wonderful photographer and want everyone to focus on the intimate occasion at hand. Please also be mindful about phone use during toasts. Beyond that, please snap and share as many photos as you like throughout the reception! We know you gotta get those pics for the 'gram. #SammiSaysRyDo
