Portland Airport (PDX)

PDX is a 1 Hour Drive to Hood River, Oregon. The best option is to rent a car. But there is a bus available from Portland as well (see Train option).

The area we've highlighted (see link) is within walking distance to the main downtown area. It's a nice area with local shopping and food. Please be aware that anywhere south of State Street will have a few flights of stairs to get from one street to the next (but it's great!).

Columbia Gorge Express

If you are not renting a car, you can take the Columbia Gorge Express (bus). Please use the link provided below for more information (tickets, times, etc). Make sure you're looking at the tab on this page that says "Portland to Hood River." Once you are in Hood River, you can use the CAT Hood River Bus Service to get around town (find information in the same link).
