The wedding venue is located just off of St. Charles Avenue, a historic thoroughfare lined with live oak trees (many of them still decked with Mardi Gras beads). You can ride the famous streetcar all the way down to the French Quarter or up to Audubon Park.
Audubon Park is a gorgeous natural landscape located about two miles up St. Charles Ave from the wedding venue. This is a great place to see the famous Louisiana swamp environment: live oak trees, Spanish moss, lagoons, herons, ibises and more.
Magazine is a bustling, pedestrian-friendly street full of clothing boutiques, coffee shops, record stores, bars and other local hangouts. After you walk the six blocks from the wedding venue, shops stretch for a mile in either direction.
The Delachaise is an atmospheric wine bar located right near the wedding venue on St. Charles Avenue. You can enjoy their famous french fries under the fairy lights as the streetcars go by.
If it's your first time in New Orleans, you may want to visit the beautiful French Quarter! This historic neighborhood is about 3.5 miles from the wedding venue - that's a 15-minute drive or 45-minute ride on the famous streetcar. Jackson Square, Cafe du Monde, the St. Louis Cathedral and Bourbon Street are all famous landmarks within the Quarter.
