We met at the D-I-K house for a party hosted by mutual friends. Both of us had been to this house on numerous occasions but had never crossed paths. We ended up playing on the same flip cup team and one of us had better skills than the other. This resulted in Sammee getting rather irritated due to her competitive nature and ended with her asking Tommy, not so politely, to remove himself from the game. As the party continued, sparks began to fly and after a little convincing from the bride-to-be, the night ended with our first kiss.

After Tommy asked for permission from Steve, he decided that the best time to "pop the BIG question" was at Sammee's 27th birthday party where we would be surrounded by our closest friends and family. Throughout the night Tommy avoided Sammee because he had become so nervous. After trying many times to get everyone in the same room to sing Happy Birthday, the guests started filing in and then Tommy handed me a card and a gift box. It didn't take long to figure out what was happening along with the room of cameras directed right at us. Tommy took the ring box and got down on one knee. Of course the answer was YES!
