We didn't meet on Hinge (ooops!). We actually met at a wedding - our friends Brian and Mary's wedding in Vermont to be exact - and so it's safe to say we love weddings. As a hora broke out, we found ourselves on the outer ring exchanging the basics of where we lived, how we knew the bride and groom, and what we did for work. We both heard 'New York City' and our interests were piqued! A night of dancing led to a series of bets over an arcade game which then led to a golf cart joyride, a night hike, and dinner in New York City that Sunday night. As the wedding weekend ended, we were just getting started.

The backdrop of our relationship has been this city, and we want to show you a taste of our version of NYC. On Friday night, most of our family members are going to meet for the first time! Lindsey's family is from Washington, D.C. and Sam's family is from Boston, MA so we're meeting on neutral territory exactly 333 miles from both locations. On Saturday afternoon, we'll kick things off with a welcome event at Arturo's Coal Oven Pizza. We order from Arturo's at least once a week, but we will have taken a break to get in shape for the wedding. Sunday is our main event. After the past year, nothing will make us happier than to have family and friends together on the dance floor. The Rainbow Room at 30 Rock is the perfect place to celebrate. Between organized events, we encourage you to check out our local haunts such as Morganstern's for their salted chocolate ice cream, or brunch at Lafayette.

If you don't have Columbus/Indigenous People's Day off, it might be worth taking that day off. No one at our wedding should be expected to operate heavy or light machinery that day.
