The Wedding Celebration will be held on Saturday May 18 at Brick South on Thompson's Point in Portland Maine. Brick South is located between two areas, each of which has many hotels: The Old Port area downtown, and the airport area (the “Jetport”). Each area is about a 10 minute drive from Brick South. To get the wedding rate we recommend calling the specific hotel directly rather than the chain toll free number. Some have a link to book online at the wedding rate. See below. If you check rates online and get a message: “no rooms available at that rate,” call the hotel. Cancellation policies vary widely, so please be sure you understand the policy at the hotel you choose when you make your reservation. A few may require a two night stay.

Description of Old Port and airport areas

The Old Port and airport (JetPort) areas have different attributes. Use the links provided below to research the hotel choices. We have secured room blocks at hotels in each area. We will run shuttles for the Saturday night Wedding Celebration only. There will be separate shuttles for the airport area and the Old Port. The shuttles will leave from specific hotels as noted below. Detailed information and timetables for Saturday evening will be posted on this website after we know where guests are staying. Old Port: Charming, convenient to city activities and somewhat more expensive than the airport area hotels. Generally the hotels offer parking but at an additional cost. Airport Area: Short drive to Old Port; less expensive than Old Port hotels. Generally, these hotels offer free parking (you should confirm). Generally offer an airport shuttle (you should confirm). In addition, Uber and Lyft are readily available.

Old Port Area: Portland Harbor Hotel

Wedding rate $269. Site of Sunday brunch. Wedding party and family staying here. Saturday night Wedding Celebration shuttle provided. Two night (Friday and Saturday) minimum. Additional nights at the same rate may be available. To get additional days at that rate ask to speak to “sales” not reservations. The sales coordinator is Nicki at 207-523-2014

Not a fixed rate. Wedding rate depends on room selected and time of booking; typically 10-20% off standard rates. The following hotels are in the same general area. We do not have a room block at these hotels and will not be providing shuttle service to and from them on Saturday night. However these hotels are close enough to the two hotels listed above that you can walk to one of them to get the shuttle. Saturday night there are TWO hotel pickup and drop off points. You do not have to be a guest at that hotel to take the bus. It will be a yellow school bus. PICK UP Arrive at Brick South by 530 for the renewal of vows at 545. Harbor Area Bus 500 pm Depart AC Hotel (158 Fore St. Portland) 515 pm Depart Portland Harbor Hotel (NOTE: actual pick up location is around the corner on Cross Street between Fore St. and Commercial St in front of the MEMIC building) 530 pm Arrive Brick South AIrport Area Bus HAS BEEN CANCELED (No one indicated a need for transportation from Airport hotels) RETURN TRIPS The Harbor bus will make return trips every half hour at: 915 pm 945 pm 1015 pm 1045 pm 1115 pm 1145 pm The party ends at 1130. The last bus is at 1145. After that, guests may call a taxi, Uber or Lyft.
