Travel Note
Our wedding happens to fall on a classic DC weekend. It is the President’s 80th birthday celebrations and the White House UFC event. Classic DC. In other words, the city will be lively. Arrival by Car: Use the check point at 14th and F street to park in the Willard garage. Use 13th and Pennsylvania check point in order to valet at the front of the building. When you arrive at the security barricade, let them know you are going to the Willard for the Jordan/Pelt wedding and you will be granted access to the building. Uber Drop Off: You will be granted access on foot from the barricades to the hotel. Flight
If you’re flying in for the wedding, we recommend booking your flight into Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). It’s the closest option to the city and only about a 15-minute Uber ride from downtown DC. You can also fly into Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), though it’s farther out and typically about a 40-minute drive into the city.
Train
For guests coming from New York City, taking the Amtrak to Union Station is a convenient option. The ride typically takes about 3 to 3.5 hours, and Union Station is located right in the heart of DC.
