We chose an adults-only resort so that we can have the big day we've always envisioned. We decided on Mexico because we wanted to escape our daily routines, party, relax, and spend intentional time with our friends. We know coming to Mexico to celebrate our union is a really big ask and it's really important to us to allow everyone, including parents, to experience a relaxing and uninhibited vacation. Because of all of that, we chose an adults-only resort. Secrets Moxché has amazing, inviting vibes that fit our vision perfectly. We understand this won't work for everyone, so please know that we respect your RSVP decision either way! If you choose to stay at a family-friendly resort and attend the wedding events only, guest passes are available for $75-$150 per day, per person, depending on the hours of attendance. Let us know if you choose to go this route and we can help to make sure everything is set up.
Secrets Moxché is a 45 minute drive from the Cancun (CUN) airport. Our travel agent will arrange transportation from the airport to the resort. Please see our travel website for more information: https://tinyurl.com/ErikaAndSamir .
In addition to your favorite beachwear, the resort restaurants have varying dress codes, many of which include long pants for men (jeans are fine) and collared shirts. The attire for the wedding events is listed on the "Schedule and Events" tab.
There are four different room options on the travel website. The three "Preferred" rooms include either a personal hot tub on your balcony (Preferred Club Junior Suite Ocean View and Preferred Club Junior Suite Ocean Front) or a secluded swim out pool (Preferred Club Junior Suite Swimout Tropical View). "Preferred" room guests also get access to a couple extra areas (rooftop pool + bar and additional breakfast restaurant) as well. All of the rooms are great options and we encourage you to pick whatever option fits your preference and budget best.
You are welcome to stay as long as you want! There is a Welcome Party on Friday (Nov 10) and the Wedding is on Saturday (Nov 11), but those are the only organized wedding events. There is a minimum three night stay, but you're welcome to come early or stay days after the wedding and enjoy the resort. We (Samir and Erika) are coming Wednesday (Nov 8) and leaving Friday (Nov 17).
