The best days to fly out/ arrive in Nerja would be either the 1st September, or an early flight on the 2nd September - the flight from London to Malaga is approx 3 hours. The welcome party will start at 6pm on the 2nd September. If you choose to travel on the 2nd September then a 10 - 11am flight would be ideal to ensure you are able to make it to the welcome event on time.
The first event will take place on the 2nd September. Depending on when you choose to travel you can either book leave from the 1st or 2nd September. Leave will need to be booked until at least the 5th September (if you work on Saturday's, otherwise the 5th will be a Saturday and will not need to be taken as leave - so you can book leave until the 4th September).
As long as your accommodation is as close as possible to Burriana Beach or the Balcon de Europa, you will be conveniently located for both wedding pickup and activities/ things to do in the area. We really recommend taking a look at Matt's website - he has listed most conveniently located hotels and apartments in Nerja and has divided them in terms of different budget.
Taxi or uber is the easiest method. However, there is a bus that goes from Malaga bus station (Estacion de Autobuses de Malaga) in the city, to Nerja (it is the bus from Malaga to Montril). This is a significantly longer journey though (over 2 hours) so we would not recommend this if you are flying in on the 2nd September (day of welcome party).
