Before we met both had been having no luck with dating. We eventually found each other on an app called "Tinder." And I know what you are all thinking... that never works! And we use to be right there with you in that belief. That is until... our first date. (After a month of CONSTANT texting... we even already had inside jokes). So, for our first date we met up right after Steve's late shift, around 9:30pm at an Applebee's in between us. At the time Steve lived in Tampa and Sami lived in Ellenton. As soon as we met we hugged and went into instant conversation. Even though we were both nervous it felt easy to be with one another. As if it was a perfect fit. We ended up talking so much the waitress had to come up to us and say, "I am so sorry but my shift is about to end." And we looked around realizing we were closing out the restaurant while we were lost in a deep conversation. He smiled and apologized to her and turned to me and asked if I was hungry for desert. I laughed and obviously did not want this date to end so I said yes. We ended up walking across the street to a sonic where Steve bought us milkshakes while we discussed our past, present, and future dreams. We went into deep fears and talk of kids and our 5 year plans. We called it "Speed Dating." We look back and joke about it now, maybe we were rushing. Or maybe it was just fate. We both knew what we wanted and we both found someone who seemed to be on the exact page. After the lights turned off at the Sonic around 3am we ended up having to part ways and go home. But after that I took a chance and our third date was a weekend trip to Disney with one of his Friends at church (Heather). Ever since that and before we moved in we saw each other every weekend and spoke everyday. We both prayed before we met that we would find our person and we both believe that God answered our prayer that night. We found each other and God keeps blessing us each and ever day that we are together.
