We met 20 years ago in junior high. He was obsessed with me, and I hated him. Ryan shot his shot after shot. Year after year. His persistence must have finally paid off and in 2018 we went on our first date to Texas Roadhouse.
In 2024, we decided it was time to grow our family and find a home where we could build our future together. When we found the perfect house, we knew it was the one. It gave us the opportunity to make it truly ours, and we’ve poured countless hours, hard work, and plenty of elbow grease into creating a place we love to call home. Since then, we’ve made so many memories within these walls—including bringing home our sweet Henry. ❤️ Anyone who knows us knows we’re always looking for a reason to host a gathering, so when we discovered we had the perfect view of the city fireworks right from our backyard, we knew we had to make the most of it. In true Sami & Ryan fashion, we decided to turn it into an annual Fourth of July BBQ tradition with family and friends. As the sun began to set, Ryan got down on one knee and said, “You’ve always teased me for chasing you for the last 13 years. How about I keep chasing you for the rest of my life? Will you marry me?” And in typical Sami fashion, I immediately admired the ring… and forgot to answer. 🤷🏻♀️💍
