Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Sami Bast and Nick Brown
We're so excited to share some of our favorites with you around our home!
Reading Terminal Market

Reading Terminal Market

1136 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107
, (215) 922-2317

One of the country's oldest indoor markets--originally opened in 1893! Stroll around and see all the different vendors. Make sure to stop at our favorite Beiler's Donuts, and you MUST order the blueberry and apple fritters while you're there! Also if you have time for breakfast, grab a bar stool at The Dutch Eating Place!

Independence Hall

Independence Hall

520 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106
, (215) 965-2305

Take a stroll down the historic cobblestone streets all the way to Independence Hall where the Liberty Bell is on display. Trust me--it's much smaller in person than expected. While you're there, grab a beer across the street at Independence Beer Garden.

Love Park

Love Park

Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102
, (215) 686-1776

Check out the sign that the City of Brotherly Love is known for and don't forget to take a touristy pic while you're there! You might have to wait in line a bit to do so, but it's worth it.

Rittenhouse Square

Rittenhouse Square

18th and Walnut Streets, Philadelphia, PA 19103

Rittenhouse Square Park is a beautiful place to stroll or sit on a park bench, drink a Philly-native La Columbe coffee, people watch, and more. You can even grab a bite to eat at one of the amazing surrounding restaurants: Parc, The Love, or Dandelion Cafe.

Philadelphia Museum of Art Steps

Philadelphia Museum of Art Steps

2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130
, (215) 763-8100

Take a run or light jog up the Rocky steps! And don't forget to take a picture with Sylvester Stallone's Rocky statue. When Nick and Sami lived in Fairmount, they used to walk here every day.

Philadelphia's Magic Gardens

Philadelphia's Magic Gardens

1020 South Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147
, (215) 733-0390

Philadelphia Magic Gardens was completed by a local artist Isaiah Zagar. He began tiling South Street in the 1960s and never stopped, constructed the space out of cement, bicycle spokes, bottles, ceramic shards and other artistic knick-knacks. It's a pretty cool spot to see!

Elfreth's Alley

Elfreth's Alley

126 Elfreth's Alley, Philadelphia, PA 19106

Elfreth's Alley is a historic street in Philadelphia, dating back to 1703. There are 32 houses on the street which were built between 1703 and 1836. The Elfreth's Alley Museum is located at #124 and 126. The alley is a National Historic Landmark.

Race Street Pier

Race Street Pier

North Christopher Columbus Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19106
, (215) 922-2386

Nick and Sami walk their dog, Remy, down to Race Street Pier almost every day (weather permitting)! Take a look at the gorgeous views of the Delaware River and Benjamin Franklin Bridge--and you can even see New Jersey!

Schuylkill River Trail

Schuylkill River Trail

Schuylkill River Trail, Philadelphia, PA

Take a nice stroll on the Schuylkill River Trail... and have fun trying to pronounce the name while you're at it. Pronounced "skoo·kl." It's on the opposite side of the city as the Delaware River, and is absolutely gorgeous in the spring when the Cherry Blossoms are in season.
