Getting from the Airport to Big Bear/Fawnskin:
You will want to rent a car. You do not need 4x4, the roads are all in great condition and easy to drive on
The drive up the Mountain:
You will likely take the 330 up the mountain to Big Bear. It's an hour drive. While steep and very curvy, there are plenty of places to pull off if needed. And you are fine to drive slow up the mountain if needed, plenty of people do. It's a BEAUTIFUL drive, enjoy it!
Big Bear Valley:
Fawnskin: The wedding is in Fawnskin. It's a little community that doesn't have anything except homes and woods for the most part. Plenty of Airbnbs. Fawnskin is about 15 min drive to Big Bear Lake.
Big Bear Lake: This is the main part of Big Bear, I would recommend staying here!
Big Bear City: Mostly residential and the further from Fawnskin than Big Bear Lake (we live here!)
Sugarloaf/Baldwin Lake: Furthest from Fawnskin
