We met through a mutual friend. Sami just entered her freshman year at CSUN and joined a sorority right away. One of the sororities first events was a formal. She didn't know anyone because she just started school a few weeks before. One of her sorority sisters (shoutout Becky Eriksson) tried to help Sami find a date and kept sending pictures of guys in a fraternity she was close with. Sami wasn't feeling any of the guys that Becky was sending her so she took matters into her own hands and started stalking Becky's instagram page to see if she could find anyone else. Sure enough, after much stalking Sami found a picture of Becky and Kevin at a fraternity event and she knew from the second she saw the photo of Kevin that he was the one for her. Kevin said yes to going to formal with Sami and the rest is history. Almost 6 years later and Sami thanks herself everyday for finding that photo and ending up with her best friend.

After 4 and a half years together, Kevin popped the question with help from Sami's family. Kevin chose a spot on the beach in Malibu where Kevin and Sami used to go all of the time and spend time together. Sami's mom, sister and brother got to the beach a few hours before and put together a beautiful set-up with roses, candles and photos of the two. Kevin drove Sami to the beach and started walking to their usual spot on the beach and that's when Sami understood what was going on. He popped the question then out came Sami's mom, brother and sister who were hiding in the bushes taking videos and photos. It was the most beautiful and perfect proposal ever.
