We're getting married!

The night we finally met was a long time coming. For months, our mutual friend, Becca Paul, had been trying to get us to meet. She was convinced that we would really hit it off and could be a perfect pair. Even though we were always in similar vicinities, it never worked out for us to cross paths. Then, finally, on a cold afternoon in January, the stars aligned for us on the second floor of Benchmark (a bar we frequented in Old Town). Franco met up with Sami and her friends and the two of us instantly hit it off, talking non-stop for an hour before he had to leave to meet up with his group. Sami decided to be bold and ask him for his number before he left (which she is convinced is the reason why we are getting married today!) After that night, we quickly became inseparable...clearly Becca knew what she was talking about!

Getting engaged at the GiGi's Playhouse Gala has more significance than people might realize. Before we started officially dating, Sami decided to be bold (again) and attend the GiGi's Gala in February of 2022. That night, she was introduced to many important people in Franco's life. This was the first Gala where Franco had a speaking role, so Sami being there supporting him from the audience was very special. This night really opened our eyes to what our relationship could become, and a few weeks later we made it official. Fast forward to February of 2025, Franco proposed to Sami on stage at the Gala in front of 700 attendees, including many friends and family (some of which were a huge surprise to Sami!) Quite the full circle moment for us, and a memory we will cherish forever.
