Our Wedding Party

Meet some of the most important people in our lives who will be walking down the aisle with us on our wedding day. They are in alphabetical order by last name.

Maryam Shamroukh

Maid of Honor

Maryam is my little sister and has truly been my other half and best friend my entire life. We have traveled around the world together – from Jordan to Dublin to New Orleans, we have always been each other’s number one support systems and each other’s biggest fans. Maryam gets me and makes me laugh in a way that no one else can and I can’t imagine not having her by my side on one of the biggest days of my life.

Noelle Shamroukh

Maid of Honor

Noelle is my older sister and the role model I’ve tried to be like my entire life. She is my sounding board for all important decisions – from job offers to financial advice, it doesn’t matter if it’s big or small, her opinion means more to me than anything. She has been my rock and my best friend my entire life and I feel so lucky to have her as my older sister – I know that I will always have her in my corner for anything life throws at me.

Sara Cain

Bridesmaid

Sara has been one of my best friends since the very first night of school at Cal Poly. We connected instantly and have been inseparable ever since – I have never become such great friends with someone in such a short amount of time. She and I connected over the smallest things but have grown so much together over the years. We’ve been there for one another through so many of life’s challenges in the past 12 years. I cannot imagine life without her – and I’m so lucky to have her stand by my side just as I did for her.

Sophie Cain

Bridesmaid

Sophie, or who I refer to as my ‘most fun best friend’, is the reason I have had such an incredible 7 years in San Francisco. We went to Cal Poly together but after I moved back to SF from Boston, she introduced me to her group of friends and life in the city. She is one of those people who just shines and lifts all those around her. She is so full of life and anyone that knows her feels so lucky to have someone like her in their corner.

Maddy Frey

Bridesmaid

Maddy and I have been best friends from our first class at Cal Poly to living together in the AOII sorority house. She is the most talented (I never missed one of her acapella shows at school) and kindest person I know – she never fails to see the best in every situation and her positivity has brought so much light to my life. She is also getting married one month before Cody and me, and it has been so fun experiencing this life milestone together.

Clare Gleeson

Bridesmaid

Clare is truly the most loving, supportive, and loyal best friend I could ask for. She has shown time and time again that she sticks by her friends through thick and thin and you could not be luckier if you have her in your corner. She is one of the main reasons that I have loved living in San Francisco as much as I have – she has made living in the city over the last 7 years some of the best of my life.

Nicole Levitt

Bridesmaid

Who would have thought that working at Oracle would bring me one of my best friends! Nicole and I met while working together and I quickly knew she would be one of my best friends for life – she’s one of the most thoughtful, loyal and compassionate people I have ever met and has been there for me through so many of life’s obstacles. I am so lucky to have her in my corner and know we will always be there for each other – I don’t think I have ever known a more loving person in my life.

Gianna Merkel

Bridesmaid

Gianna has been my very best friend for that last 11 years – from our days in our dorm at Cal Poly to running around the streets of Amsterdam, we have been by each other’s side through it all. She is everything sparkly and glittery and has always taken such a big bite out of life (one of my dad’s favorite expressions and it so perfectly describes Gianna) – she has shown me how to live life to the fullest. We have always been there for each other and I know that we will stay best friends for the rest of our lives.

Sarah Simonetti

Bridesmaid & Officiant

Sarah is the definition of a best friend – she has been there for me through everything in life and is truly my other half/partner in crime. We share the exact same sense of humor and there are not a lot of people that get me the way that Sarah does. From our daily morning phone calls to drinking champagne in Reims, Sarah has become such an incredibly important part of both Cody’s and my life and she is not only my very best friend but has become so important to Cody as well – in fact, she is so important to us, she is the officiant at our wedding!

Shea Thompson

Bridesmaid

Shea and I met through AOII and I am forever grateful because she and I have been best friends ever since. From our days in SLO where we would go to our local 7/11 before movie nights or from our time together on the East Coast, she and I have always been connected, no matter the distance. She is the most thoughtful and supportive friend and I know we will always have each other for the rest of our lives.

Beauregard Bear Bicksham

Dog of Honor / Best Dog

Better known to most of his friends and family as "Beau". He's been a member of our family since he was eight weeks old and considers himself to be our best friend. This overgrown black lab puppy will represent both the bride and groom on our wedding day.

Travis Bickham

Best Man

Travis is my older brother and best man. We grew up together playing sports and roaming the woods in Half Moon Bay, and as adults spent every chance we could on fishing, hunting and backpacking trips around the world. He's joining the wedding weekend from Tahoma, California.

Ben Hadrovic

Groomsman

Ben and I first met on the freshman football team at St. Francis High School. We've been like brothers ever since; playing defensive line on opposite ends, adventuring through high school in a minivan and a pickup truck, and making the most of every Taco Tuesday as senior year roommates at Berkeley. He's joining the wedding weekend from Menlo Park, California.

Trevin Haseltine

Groomsman

Trevin and I became great friends bonding over fishing and country music after meeting while we were on the baseball and track teams at Cal. After years of college football gamedays and river floats, we've become incredibly close and share an amazing bond. We've still yet to actually go fishing together on the same day, but can still hopefully put a trip together before the wedding. He's joining the wedding weekend from Davis, California.

JD Hinnant

Groomsman

JD was my first friend when I joined the Cal football team in 2015. We met in the locker room, and after playing on the offensive and defensive line together have been amazing friends ever since. From being forever snappa partners, to spring break roommates in Cabo, we've seen it all together. JD is well known for the most exciting 2 point conversion in Cal football history in a historic win over Oregon. He's joining the wedding weekend from Fort Worth, Texas.

Christian Kadash

Groomsman

Christian (Curly) and I met while playing football our freshman year in high school. We've spent plenty of hours at country shows and on unforgettable trips to Tahoe. He's joining the wedding weekend from Redwood City, California.

Taylor Manfredi

Groomsman

Taylor and I went through our San Francisco Fire Department academy together and have been close friends ever since. From hikes with the dogs, me mercilessly criticizing Taylor's meals in the firehouse, all the way to pool and drinks at the Final Final and witnessing Taylor catch fish after fish in Bend. He's joining the wedding weekend from Sausalito, California.

Finn Scribbick

Groomsman

Finn and I met when we were on the diving and track teams at Cal. We've spent more time than you can imagine on countless games of snappa, beer pong and watching Friday Night Lights. Finn considers me to be the Tim Riggins to his Matt Saracen. He's joining the wedding weekend from San Antonio, Texas.

Zach Shamroukh

Groomsman

Zach is Samia's younger brother but has also become incredible friends with me within the last few years. From tailgates, to family parties, to trips to Bend, we've become close and I feel so lucky to be getting him as a brother. He's joining the wedding weekend from Brooklyn, New York.

Michael Trani

Groomsman

Michael and I met on the Cal football team during an early Friday morning winter workout. The both of us became instant friends, sharing more laughs and great memories than you can count. Michael's infectious personality and humor, combined with his magician quality card tricks always make him the life of any party. He's joining the wedding weekend from Lincoln, Nebraska.
