It was February 4th, 2023. Sanjay was supposed to be on a ski trip but fell sick and had to cancel. With some unexpected free time, he decided to reach out to a number his mom had sent him. It was February 4th, 2023. Samhita randomly received a text from someone named Sanjay. She (an iPhone user) noticed the green text bubble (he's an Android user), but despite the difference in phone/OS loyalty, she decided to reply. Their conversation goes well, so they arranged to meet for Thai food in Somerville, NJ on February 19th, 2023. After a successful first date, they continued to see each other between NJ and DC, with Samhita working in NJ and Sanjay in DC. Things became official the summer before Sanjay started grad school in Pittsburgh, and about a year later, Sanjay popped the question! Over the past couple of years in their long-distance relationship, Sanjay and Samhita have built a loving bond full of laughter, adventure, and plenty of Asian food. And they found a way to make the iPhone/Android situation work with WhatsApp! ;)
