We recommend checking out the Facebook group “Fire Island Rentals by Owners” or taking a look at Airbnb or VRBO. For anyone looking to stay on the Mainland of Long Island, there are multiple options. The Ocean Bay House Bed & Breakfast is 1 block west of the Fire Island Ferries - https://theoceanbayhouse.com/. For those flying into NYC, you can easily get on the LIRR to the ferry from either LGA or JFK. The Bayshore LIRR Station is about 1 mile to the ferry. An easy walk or quick Uber ride. Alternatively, you can take the Fire Island Pedicab to Kismet from Field 5 at Robert Moses Beach. There is NO overnight parking at Field 5 and the Pedicabs do stop running at sundown. If you require alternative transportation, please schedule with the Fire Island Water Taxi.
