Hotel
This is our main hotel block where the wedding party will be staying and the welcome party will be. The rate is $240 USD per night for a double room with tax and breakfast included. This discounted rate is only valid if you book your room by July 22nd. After that the discounted rate and rooms left will be released and you will have to pay the normal rate. Do not choose the Egyptian National Rate when booking, as this only works for Egyptian Nationals and is a special local rate.

Travel Note
For Americans: Visas are given upon arrival at the Cairo airport. They are $27 and you must have cash to purchase them. If you would like to obtain the visa before arrival so you do not have to wait in line at the airport, you can do an evisa application online. For Canadians: As of October 1 2023, Canadians can no longer obtain a visa online or upon arrival for entry into Egypt. It must now be obtained at an Egyptian embassy or consulate. You can make an appointment to go in person for the visa if you are in Ottawa or mail your application in to the embassy. I have attached an article that explains everything you will need to do to obtain a visa at the embassy, as well as the mailing address and list of items you need. We strongly recommend doing this as soon as possible, as it can take some time if you are mailing it in. Package to Embassy to include: 1. Visa Application 2. Passport 3. 2 Passport photos 4. Travel Note
We have arranged car service for pick ups from the airport to the Kempinski. Please, provide us with your flight information in the questionnaire emailed to all the guests. We have also made sure that if you are doing a tour, this will include transportation to and from both hotel blocks, as well as pick up for the wedding to Kempinski Nile Garden City and return. If you need to get around in Egypt, there is Uber and it should not cost you more than $2-5 for anywhere you would like to go. Just be aware that most drivers do not speak English.

Flying from Toronto, we recommend Egyptair, which is a direct flight to Cairo and flies on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday for YYZ to CAI. Return 11/18 Egyptair MS 777 to LHR then AirCanada AC 857 to YYZ. This round trip flight is around $1300 CAD but there are flights from $990 CAD with a layover.
