We would love to know if you'll be joining us or not by May 1st! Please use this link (copy-paste!) to RSVP on our homemade spreadsheet: https://tinyurl.com/4rkxtb6s
If you have a partner or child who "comes with you" - yes, and please indicate on the RSVP spreadsheet.
Just to orient you, Willow Moon Farm is right down the street (walking distance) from where Mica and Samara live, which is a 20 minute drive north of downtown Asheville, and about 35 minutes north of the Asheville airport (Greenville airport is often cheaper to fly into but about a 90 minute drive, Charlotte two hours). Car rentals are available at the airports. We do live "out in the country," but usually Ubers are possible (though can get pricey - unless split with a group!). We know many of you are already traveling far to be here so we hope we can help make transportation simple! Feel free to check the RSVP spreadsheet and see who else you know that's coming from where, to coordinate transportation with them, or feel free to reach out to us if you need support in coordinating transportation with some of our local friends/family.
Yes, there is abundant parking at Willow Moon Farm (still carpooling is encouraged!) We have limited parking here at our house, so if you are an out of towner coming for our event on Friday, please find a way to carpool if you can!
We do not yet have a registry (we will build one hopefully soon with at least a few cool things on it) and your PRESENCE is the greatest PRESENT we could ask for! That said, we certainly won't say no to cash/venmo (Samara Gisondo / @Samara-Jade), and we will gratefully accept homemade treasures!
If you think you wanna offer something, there's a column in the RSVP spreadsheet where you can indicate so. Or, just come with your offering! There will be sign-ups at the reception. Also, fret not, there will also be time a plenty for speeches and the like, aside from the variety show.
There is no camping at the wedding venue, but we are welcoming any of our out of town people who would like to camp out for the weekend to camp in our backyard! Please let us know if you would like to. If you are not a camper, there are options for Airbnbs - more than plenty in the general Asheville area, and we are working on finding some that are in our neighborhood.
If you are coming from afar, don't worry about these things, but if you are local and it is easy for you to bring your own dish/utensil and cup, that would help cut back on disposables (we'll use compostable dishware but still...). Also, a water bottle, and a picnic blanket to sit on. Also, keep in mind the ceremony will be midday on the summer solstice, and the spot where the ceremony is is mostly shady...though if there are 100 or more of us, likely some of us will have to be in the sun.... perhaps bring a parasol or sun hat! And for those who want to offer a song at the variety show, you can bring your own instrument, but know there will already be a plethora of instruments there to play (at least a couple guitars, basses, keyboard, etc).
