We're so excited to celebrate with you!

We first connected online! We were drawn to each other for our mutual interests in pediatrics and hiking. We were both really busy with school and weren't actually in the same state for the first 3-4 months of getting to know one another. Once we were finally able to meet, we spent the day at the National Zoo. It went so well, we made our second date for the very next day...also because Tim had to leave the state again.

Shortly after we began dating Sam learned that she would be completing her Pediatric residency in Texas. We had a few months to decide if this relationship was worth a cross country move together. Tim decided he didn't want to let Sam go in early spring and Sam was all for it. Best. Decision. Ever!

On Sam's one day off that week, Tim created a short scavenger hunt with the theme of their previous dates. The hunt ended with the hint to "dress for a hike" and we met at a nearby coffee shop. After breakfast, Tim took Sam on a hike with a packed picnic. At an overlook along the trail, we had lunch and then Tim popped the question. Obviously, Sam said yes!
