Is this event COVID friendly?

Answer

The majority of the wedding will be outdoors. Any indoor locations we are utilizing will have open doors and windows. At this time we are not requiring our guests to wear masks. We are hoping that the majority of the guests will be vaccinated by that time, but if you are experiencing any symptoms, no matter how close to our day it is, please let us know if you cannot or should not attend.

The ceremony, reception, and after party all take place in the same location, rain or shine!

Should I drive to the wedding?

Answer

We highly encourage you to take the shuttle, which will leave from the Hilton Garden Inn, whether you decide to book hotel stay or not. There will be very limited parking at the wedding. The Hilton Garden Inn is only 4 minutes away from our home and there is ample parking at the hotel for those who are planning to drop their vehicle off.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Some people call it "garden formal", some people call it "cocktail attire." We want all of our guests to be comfortable on our day. There are some parts of the property that have lawn or steps that you may need to walk through. For the most part you will be on solid ground or on the dance floor (we hope!) We will be providing flip flops for anyone who came in their highest heels.

Is the event indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The majority of the wedding will be taking place outdoors in open air tents. In the event of rain, the tents will be closed off to ensure our guests stay dry!

What will be served?

Answer

We are planning on a plethora of passed food and stations including a Raw Bar, Cheese and Meat Board, and Carving Station. There will also be wood fired pizza from our outdoor pizza oven. Cake, coffee, desert and after party snacks will be served into the night. There will be no formal sit down dinner so please don't dismay that we have not asked you for your dinner selection! There should be something for everyone. The seating will be informal for the maximum amount of mingling. Large barn tables and high tops will be set up as well as lounge seating. Oh, and there will be an open bar-- all the more reason to take that shuttle!

If I am coming from out of town where should I stay?

Answer

We have blocked off rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kennett Square, PA. The hotel is less than 5 minutes away from our home, so you will be close to all the action!

What if I miss the shuttle?

Answer

If you miss the shuttle, we know from personal experience that Uber and Lift drivers are readily available in our area and are easy to come by.

Can I bring kids, dogs, or a guest?

Answer

Although we love kids, dogs, and guests we want parents to have a great time whether you have a dog or child. Please make sure you have a babysitter for the evening! Because we have limited space and are trying to be as COVID friendly as possible for those not yet vaccinated, we do not recommend bringing any unexpected guests or plus ones.
