we're getting married!

We are the definition of a modern love story because well, we met on the internet! After we both downloaded the popular dating app Hinge, Sam took one look at Matt posing with his dog Reggie (thank goodness there was no fish holding pose in sight) and said that's the man for me. Sam commented on his picture, and after a short conversation Matt asked Sam to get drinks at Mr. Goodbar in late December 2019. The date went well, no catfishing over here, and there was a second and third and.... that takes us to into March of 2020. As you remember, this marked the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. While the world was on pause we were falling in love in what felt like 2x speed. Lots of at home cooking for each other, playing board games, and watching movies. Drinks outside with friends socially distanced, and hours of lounging, talking and getting to know each other because ... there was not much else to do. During this time we became pretty much inseparable, and it feels like time has flown by since. Here we are 4 years later engaged! Matt got down on his knee in August of 2024 surrounded by our closest friends in the finger lakes at Heron Hill Winery. Sam was shocked (I couldn't believe he pulled it off)! We celebrated the whole day toasting champagne, giddy and eagerly imagining our future together. We are so excited to share our day with you all and every single one of you holds a very special place in our hearts. We cant wait, see you in November, lets party! Love, Sam and Matt
