It all began with a simple sentence: “You know who you should meet?” For years Blake had been hearing about a fun, hard working girl with a deep love of Jehovah known as “Samantha Spade” from a mutual friend. At the same time, Samantha was being told about the young man named Blake Lindsley and his strong spirituality and good character. Though the idea was nice, nothing ever happened. Until one day, the timing was finally right. After a pep-talk with the mutual friend, Blake decided to send Samantha a message asking her if she would be interested in getting coffee. She replied simply, “When and where?” For their first date, Samantha let Blake tag along on a dog-walking job—and by the end of it, both felt an instant friendship and a deep sense of shared values. Samantha was drawn to Blake’s joy in serving Jehovah, and Blake appreciated Samantha’s balanced view of spiritual things. Their life direction and priorities naturally pulled them closer. After a month of careful observation, calling one anothers elders, and a memorable karaoke performance of Samantha's at a gathering hosted by Blake, they made it official. From then on, they made every date count—chaperoned road trips to speaking assignments, time spent with spiritual family, family worship, and service together. At the end of every date, they’d smile and say, “That was the best date ever,” only for the next one to somehow be even better. And for this reason, and so many more, Blake and Samantha have chosen to spend the rest of forever together. They are thrilled to share that they’ve been invited to serve together as special full-time servants at Wallkill Bethel, and can’t wait to celebrate this beautiful new beginning with you.
