You can also fly into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and drive to Santa Barbara. The drive is approximately 2 hours without heavy traffic, though we recommend allowing 2–3 hours depending on traffic. Rental cars and the Santa Barbara Airbus are available from LAX.

Amtrak Pacific Surfliner

The Amtrak Pacific Surfliner offers a scenic route to Santa Barbara from destinations throughout Southern California, including San Diego, Orange County and Los Angeles. The train ride from Los Angeles Union Station is approximately 2.5–3 hours. The Santa Barbara Amtrak station is conveniently located downtown, making it an easy option for guests traveling without a car.
