The hotel will have limited valet parking that is fist come first serve and prioritizes guests staying at the hotel. There is street parking and some parking lots around downtown Manitou Springs. Our ceremony is starting at 2:30 and the city of Manitou Springs offers free parking past 6pm. If the hotel doesn't have any parking availability you can expect to spend about $12 on parking for the day and we apologize for the inconvenience.
Due to the age of the wedding venue and the room we chose there unfortunately is a 2 hour gap of time between the ceremony and cocktail hour for the venue staff to be able to turn the room over. But don't fret! Manitou Springs has a great variety of things to do to pass the time before we start boogying. A personal favorite of ours is the penny arcade conveniently located directly across the street from the hotel! We as a couple spend roughly 2 hours there every time we go to the arcade and spend $20. There's also a lot of locally owned mom and pop shops for you to peruse if you so desire. The Manitou Winery is a personal favorite of Samantha's as that's where she celebrated her 21st Birthday!
A dollar dance is a wedding tradition where guests pay to dance with the bride and groom. It's a symbolic way to help the new couple start their lives together and a fun way for guests to show their love and support for the couple. It's by no means necessary but appreciated if people would like to join in on the fun. Samantha's Aunt Beth is making her a bag for the dance and is excited to honor her family for being excited about her wedding!
Please let Samantha or Zack know if there's any allergies we may not already be aware of. Obviously with Samantha being gluten-free that's already being taken into account and we will also have vegetarian options available as well.
We have done our best to already account for anyone who would be brining a plus 1 and it will state on your invite if you have one. If there's any questions please reach out to us and we'll be more than happy to figure things out.
Due to the layout of the ceremony and reception space, it's difficult to enter or exit the room discreetly. Given that the day will be long (from 2pm-11pm) and the reception will feature alcohol, we've decided to make our wedding adults-only. Take this as the perfect opportunity to celebrate kiddo free!
