Tyler and I met at college in the northern Adirondacks of New York at Paul Smith's College. As college freshman, we were always looking for new friends to hang out with. One day I was hanging out in my room, doing homework, and watching Teen Titans Go on my roommates TV. While doing homework, Tyler walked in and asked if he could hang out with me. At that moment I thought of two things: 1. "stay calm because this guy could be the man you'll fall in love with and marry". and 2. "this guy has a beard and looks like he drives a pickup truck and listens to country music". But after a while, watching Teen Titans Go, we gained an interest in each other and started hanging out a lot more. We would lounge around in our dorm's hallways, take a canoe or a kayak trip on the lake, or just take a 4-Hour Drive to a mall. Overall, we enjoyed hanging out with each other. We hung out with each other so much that we started to catch feelings, and on October 22nd, 2017, Tyler asked me to be his girlfriend. I was a little confused at first, but I still couldn't contain my excitement to be his girlfriend. 4 years later, we grew more and more in love with each other. We would take trips across the country to see each other and spend every anniversary together. Both our favorite holidays were Halloween, because we could dress up in couple's costumes. We both liked long walks on the beach and hiking and watching Mystery Science Theater 3000. On February 15th, 2022, Tyler and I took a beach trip to Otter Crest. We stopped in Lincoln City, and walked along the beaches to look for the glass floats that are hidden on the beach. I kind of knew what was going to happen, and I got more and more excited as the time approached. As we continue to walk down the beach Tyler stopped and told me that he didn't need to find a glass orb because he already found me, and I'll be all he needs. It may be a little corny, but it was perfect. I said yes and now I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with this wonderful man, who keeps me feeling special, and puts me on many wonderful journeys. While being together, I never stopped thinking about him being my husband, because it all started with the first thought of when he first came in my dorm room.
