Trevor and Sam met at Mesa Community College in Arizona back in 2014. They first saw each other at the student center at MCC. Trevor first got the courage to talk to Sam when he noticed Sam trying to play Lord of The Rings Online, on her laptop. The two hit it off by talking about video games. They both didn't know this conversation would continue 9 years later.
Back in 2015, we both knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. As Trevor was on leave from the military, he went out and bought a ring, and proposed under the 4th of July firework finale. In front of his family.
We were both young, and now living in different states. A long-distance relationship was hard in itself. With Trevor in the military, and Sam in school, making time to see each other was a challenge. Both in agreement to break up and go separate ways, even though we still loved each other, was a mutual heartbreak.
We still remained friends during our split. Well, for the most part. We still managed to see each other during those years. Not growing with each other, but still leaving time to share our experiences with each other when we could.
Throughout the years apart, we never stopped loving each other. It took a while for us to realize this, but we eventually did. Trevor bought a plane ticket for Sam to come visit him when he was Stationed in San Antinio, TX, to see if they wanted to try again. Without Suprise, they hit it off like usual. This trip just solidifying that we were meant to be together. Once out of the military, Trevor moved in with Sam, and staring their life together started.
On our second one-year anniversary, we went on a romantic getaway for the weekend. There was no proposal this time around. We both agreed that we were ready. We were ready to give a second chance to each other to get married and start the rest of our lives together. And here we are. We made it this far.
