They met through a mutual friend during their law enforcement career. Thomas found Samantha on Facebook and was relentless about meeting her. Since she was uncertain about meeting, they stayed in touch for a few weeks before she finally agreed to meet.
They spent their entire first date talking over dinner until the restaurant finally closed.
