As many of you know and to those who don't, their story started with Cade's mom, Dana Wood! Dana is a dental hygiene instructor at Blinn College in Bryan, TX. Samantha attended Blinn for her college career and went through dental hygiene school there. Throughout her time there, Dana started to joke about Samantha dating her youngest son, Thomas Cade. It became a running joke between the two however, Samantha and Cade had never met. Cade was living in Dallas at the time working with Zachry Construction without a clue of what his mother was up to. Cade happened to be home the weekend Dana hosted the dental hygiene graduation party and was cooking for the girls and their families. They happened to strike up a conversation (shout out to Maddie & Chase!) and Dana later made sure the phone number exchange happened. There were a few dates at the Dixie Chicken with all of their friends, and the rest is history! (Scroll to bottom to see Dana's reaction)

For months, there was discussion of organizing a tailgate in College Station to gather both Cade and Samantha's families. Samantha's family had never been to an Aggie tailgate before so we picked a game and set the plans. When Cade and Samantha started dating, one of their favorite things to do was to go tailgating on A&M's campus. They spent many weekends walking from Samantha and Hannah's house to tailgate throughout campus and spend time with their friends. So naturally, this is where the proposal would take place. Cade coordinated with both of their families and close friends to surprise Samantha doing one of their favorite things. Shortly after everyone arriving at the tailgate, Samantha had walked off with Maddie. When they made it back to the tailgate, Cade had everyone gathered around a beautiful tree nearby. He took Samantha by the hand and brought her to the middle of the circle where he shared their story and asked her to forever spend their lives together. She said YES!
