Lauren and Sam had started an organization at Texas Tech to help students with Autism. Lauren thought that Taylor would be a great addition to the program. Sam was not too excited about this idea...until she saw Taylor.
Sam about Taylor: "My god he's cute!' Taylor about Sam: "Look at that butt!"
After years of being friends and connecting more through watching the last season of Game of Thrones with our game night group, Taylor worked up the courage to ask Sam to Torchy's for lunch. She immediately responded with a "Yes!". We couldn't wait until our scheduled lunch date so we got together and bonded over Bohemian Rhapsody. Torchy's was just an added bonus!
On New Years Eve, after having dinner out, we came back home and Sam got into her comfy clothes, took off her makeup, and started making whipped cream for dessert. Taylor wanted to start a fire so while Sam was making dessert Taylor tended to the fire and asked Sam to "Come be cute with me by the fire." They hugged each other and started to dance to no music, as they usually do. Taylor stopped dancing, pulled out a ring and got down on one knee. Sam bawled like a baby and repeatedly asked if "This is for real?". Eventually, Taylor put the ring on Sam's hand and Sam said, "Yes! Yes! A thousand times yes!".
