Taner's sophomore year of high school he moved to Westside, which was my senior year! We knew each other but never really talked until my senior year of college. We started talking at a mutual friends house and I thought we had the best connection and conversation. I told my mom the next day "Oh he's totally going to message me today!" He didn't LOL. About a week later he started messaging me and asked me out on a date!

We had been talking about getting engaged for WEEKS at this point and I was going crazy knowing it was going to happen any moment. Of course I was trying to know exactly when it was going to happen and begging everyone to give me a heads up. Taner really wanted to surprise me and he sure did! He was about to leave on a big hunting trip for several days and he was on his way over to my apartment. I was laying on the couch, comfy clothes thinking we were having a relaxing night. My doorbell rings and I go to let him in and I notice how big his smile is. I'm thinking "Wow he's really happy to see me!" As soon as I open the door he drops to one knee with the ring in hand asking me to marry him. I immediately shouted "YES!" then "Wait are you serious??" lol. Then of course I was bawling! Then we went to go share the news with our families and it was such a wonderful memory getting to tell them together!
