Matron of Honor
Sister of the bride. Alana was Samantha's real life baby doll and constant playmate. Alana grew into Samantha's personal stylist, ray of sunshine, and role model. These sisters are still waiting on their 1999 music video rendition of Britney Spears “Baby One More Time” to earn international recognition.
Maid of Honor
Christy and Samantha met in elementary school and quickly became best friends. They went from making "Crazy Ladies" home videos throughout middle and high school to ice climbing Mount Washington in the dead of winter. It is a blessing to have the same best friend through all phases of life.
Bridesmaid
Brittny and Samantha met at the University of Tennessee working together at the recreation center. College life with Brittny was always full of adventure with a strong friendship built on sarcasm, inappropriateness, and shenanigans. They lived together in their first "adult" apartment after graduation.
Bridesmaid
Lauren interviewed at UT Medical in 2014 and Samantha was on her interview panel. Lauren proved to be a wonderful co-worker, best friend, running buddy, roommate, and like-minded cat lady. Lauren makes the world a better place just by being in it.
Bridesmaid
Nikki and Samantha met working at UT Medical as operating room nurses. Nikki is the most stylish, positive, up-beat person to be around. Nikki has the gift of making anything fun.
Bridesmaid
Sister of Groom. Lead character in the short story written by Schilling called, "If I put my sister in the trash can."
Vocalist
Ashton and Samantha became friends in 8th grade. They attended middle, high school, and college together. Schilling and Samantha are honored to have Ashton sing one of their favorite songs during the ceremony.
Best Man
Brother of Groom. Schilling has known Carl his whole life. They are not very competitive with each other whether N64 or life. Carl is just a dumb neurosurgeon, but it's not exactly rocket science.
Groomsman
Schilling and Keith met before pledgeship at Alabama. Pretty much lived together since. Keith likes cows. Schilling like beef. It worked out. I've seen him kick an armadillo 30 yards.
Groomsman
Schilling and Alex roomed together freshman year at Alabama by chance. We weren't great friends then and saw each other around the university afterwards. Fast-forward to Schilling looking for a roommate in Mobile during med school and who does he see on facebook attending South Alabama as well but Alex. They lived together through the trying years and struck up a lifelong friendship. Thanks to Schilling, Alex knows how to cook. Kinda.
Groomsman
Schilling and Blake met during a summer abroad biology trip in the jungles of Ecuador. The bromance flowered like an asteraceae and continued at Alabama with Sunday fundays and backyard shinanigans. This wild boy knows how to get in the dirt and made a living out of it sampling soils and playing with bats.
Groomsman
Blake is a guy. He weighs 115 lbs. He likes turtles. Favorite Bond is Robert Pattinson. They went to med school together.
Groomsman
Schilling and George are co-residents in the same class. George will be a groomsman even though Schilling wasn't a groomsman in his wedding last year but it's not a big deal and Schilling doesn't even really care. If you can't hear after the wedding blame George. Also, he won't be wearing that bolo tie.
Officiant
Lance and his family have been close friends with the Henley family for many years. We are honored and excited to have him perform the ceremony!
