We're getting married!

Senior year of high school is when Sam and I became close friends. December 7, 2019 marks a very special day in my heart. This is the day my best friend got down on one knee. Before I go into detail with our proposal story, let me give you a little background on us.... Sam and I have been dating for 7 years. We have been together since we were 17, and were High School sweet hearts. We have been together during crucial times in our lives. I love and think it is very special that we both got to be apart of each other’s growth in our lives and witness each other’s accomplishments. We helped each other be the best versions of ourselves. Sam is my other half. He is the one who pushes my buttons the most and makes me laugh the most. We have been through it all together, and we know each other better than anyone else.

Sam and I were meeting at his mom’s house to go out to eat for tacos and margaritas. Sam texted me to tell him when I was close by. For a quick second I thought maybe he would propose (since I’ve been asking all the time), but then I thought no he wouldn’t since we were going to dinner. When I got to the house I walked in and saw a row of flowers leading up to Sam at the end. LANCO ‘Greatest Love Story’ played in the background. Hanging behind Sam were pictures of us throughout our entire relationship together. I FREAKED OUT. It took me a moment to process what was going on. This was the biggest surprise that has ever happened in my life. As I walked to Sam, I was speechless. I could only hold his hands because I didn’t think this was real life. He told me he loved me and I cannot lie I don’t remember a word he said after that. He got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. It was so perfect, special and more than I could have ever imagined. Of course, I said YES! I cannot wait for my forever with Sam.
