In one word, you could say, "online." We both had busy lives that made dating difficult, so we turned to online dating. When the two of us matched, it was unlike any other connection. We immediately hit it off and would talk non-stop. Our conversations were exciting, just getting to learn about each other. Sam was on her night float rotation in residency and then in Kansas City visiting family, so it was approximately 3 weeks of daily talking before we could go on our first date. On our first date, we went to Blue Grillhouse for dinner and then downtown Bethlehem for dessert. We walked around downtown eating our ice cream and talking for hours. After that, we both knew we didn't want this to end. We even planned our second date, apple picking at Grim's Orchard, before ending the night. It was on our third date that Ryan made Sam an apple pie with the apples that were picked and asked her to be his girlfriend. I guess you could say the rest is history.
