Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

July 30th, 2025

Question

What should I do if I forget to reserve a room before the room block deadline?

Answer

Adhere to the hotel room block deadline (July 30th, 2025) to ensure you get a discounted room at the Voco. However, if you miss the deadline to reserve a room in our block, reach out to the hotel to book a room outside of our block. Or, you can find an alternative nearby hotel; however, if you choose to book a room at a different hotel, please note that we will not be able to provide transportation.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Guests can utilize parking at the near by Wolf Point Garage for $56 per day, which is inclusive of in and out privilege. The hotel does not own the parking garage but for the convenience of guests, parking charges may be added to the room bill.

Question

Why are there two hotel block links on the wedding website?

Answer

You may notice that under the "Travel" tab of our website, there is one hotel block link that is labeled "voco" and another labeled "Holiday Inn." Both of these links will take you to a correct hotel block for the hotel hosting the wedding. The only difference is pricing, where the "voco" rate is $189/ night and the "Holiday Inn" rate is $179/night.

Question

What if I want to extend my stay at the hotel? Can I do so with your hotel block rates?

Answer

Yes! If you are hoping to make a longer trip out of your weekend in Chicago for our wedding, you are able to do so under our hotel block rate. Through the hotel block link, you may notice that you have access to booking your stay for the days during, before, and after the wedding. If you would like to arrive in Chicago earlier or stay longer at the hotel, then proceed with your booking for the dates available. Then, contact our wedding planner (contact info on this page) with the dates you would like to extend your stay to. From there, we will contact the hotel directly to ask them to manually change your booking for the dates you intend to stay.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Come get fancy with us! Cocktail to formal attire is perfect. The event is entirely indoors, so feel free to wear heels if you want (or whatever you'll be most comfortable dancing in)!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guests list just to those who know us well. Your invitation will clearly specify if you are able to bring a plus one, and if you are, please list the name of the guest you will be bringing when you RSVP.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your children, this will be an adults-only celebration.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Doors will open at 4:30pm and the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00pm. If you arrive before the doors open for ceremony seating, the hotel has a bar on the same floor with drinks for purchase, as well as a 24 hour mini market.

Question

Is it okay to post wedding photos on social media?

Answer

Please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony as we'd like to keep this moment unplugged, but feel free to share your favorite wedding photos on social media after the event!

Question

What is the weather and climate like in the area?

Answer

Chicago summers are warm during the day and cool at night. Because our ceremony and reception is indoors, all guests should be comfortable no matter the weather.

Question

I have more questions about your wedding, who should I contact?

Answer

Kindly contact our wedding planner / maid of honor, Crystal Vasquez, at 951-741-4453 or cv259430@gmail.com with any further questions ahead of the wedding.

Question

Are Sam and Ryan already married?

Answer

Yes! They had a lovely little garden ceremony on May 31st, 2024 with their parents and siblings present. Now that they have had time to settle into their new home in Chicago, they are excited to get to share their happiness with all of their loved ones at the wedding they've been dreaming of.

Question

If I am flying in for the wedding, will I need a Real ID to fly?

Answer

Yes! The REAL ID Act enforcement deadline is May 7, 2025. Starting on this date, U.S. travelers will need to present a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued ID, or another acceptable form of identification, to board domestic flights and access certain federal facilities.
