We're getting married!

Samantha and Rakan's story began at the close of their sophomore year of college, where they found themselves in the same budding friend group. After nearly a year and a half of friendship, a few "not dates," and much "will they, won't they" side-eye from their dear friends, they officially started dating in February of 2019. The seven years that have followed have been filled with celebrated milestones—including graduations, new friendships, new jobs, new apartments, and the adoption of two very spoiled kitties. They’ve also navigated significant challenges, from maintaining a long-distance relationship during a global pandemic to carving out meaningful time together amidst the hustle and bustle of work and law school. Through it all, they’ve learned what it means to be true partners, grown together, and built a life they are incredibly proud of. Then, in July of 2025, Rakan asked Samantha to take the next big step, and she said... "It's about damn time!" right before jumping into his arms. Samantha and Rakan cannot wait to celebrate the start of this new adventure and hope with all their hearts that you’ll be able to join them in September.
