Calculus III. Sam was oblivious and Quinn was obsessed. While Sam was tutoring at City Brew, a local coffee shop, Quinn ran into her and asked for her number to "study." Sam gave it to him, hoping for a gay best friend, not even knowing his name yet. Quinn had of course done his research, and new Sam was a girl he wanted to get to know. They started texting and spending time studying together. Sam soon realized he was definitely interested in girls. It took a few weeks before Sam's stubborn nature wore down and she agreed to date. Their first weeks of dating included watching movies, telling stories, sharing their favorite music, and Quinn sending way too many memes. Officially, Sam and Quinn have been together since 05.19.2017.

In our new home, Manhattan, MT, Quinn lit up a Christmas tree near the Gallatin River. He told Sam they would go searching for a Christmas tree to cut down. They walked through the snow and Quinn turned on the Christmas lights as they approached the tree he picked. He, of course, had spent countless hours setting up the lights to turn on with a remote. Quinn always joked with Sam that it would be 10 years before he proposed, 8 years for good behavior. In that moment, he told her "only three years left... more like three minutes." He proceeded to share a sentimental moment that honestly neither of them remember, as they were both so nervous with excitement. Quinn got down on one knee, and asked Sam to marry him. She obviously said yes!
